RapidMartThese terms govern your use of RapidMart. By creating an account or placing an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
What RapidMart is
RapidMart is a marketplace. We connect you with independent stores, restaurants, pharmacies and delivery riders, and we handle the ordering, payment and tracking that sits between you.
The seller — not RapidMart — is responsible for the goods, their description, their quality and their legal compliance. Where we arrange delivery, we are responsible for that delivery.
Your account
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to hold an account. Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
Give us accurate information and keep it current — a wrong address or phone number is the most common reason an order fails.
Orders
An order is an offer to buy from the seller. It is accepted when the seller confirms it, and until then either side may cancel.
Prices, availability and delivery fees are set per store and shown before you pay. Occasionally an item turns out to be out of stock after you order; the seller may substitute it only where you have allowed substitutions, and otherwise it is refunded.
Someone aged 18 or over must be present to accept age-restricted goods, including alcohol and certain medicines. The rider may refuse to hand them over and the order may be returned.
Pharmacy, lab tests and consultations
Prescription items are dispensed by licensed pharmacies, which may require a valid prescription and may refuse an order at their professional discretion.
Consultations are provided by independent, verified practitioners. Nothing on RapidMart is a substitute for emergency care — in an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Payment
You may pay by card, from your RapidMart wallet, or with cash on delivery where the seller offers it. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never store your full card number.
The total shown at checkout includes the item prices, any delivery fee, service charges and applicable taxes.
Wallet credit is not legal tender, cannot be exchanged for cash, and is spendable only on the platform.
Delivery
Delivery times shown are estimates, not guarantees; traffic, weather and kitchen load all move them.
You must be reachable at the number on the order. If nobody can be reached and the rider has waited a reasonable time, the order may be treated as delivered and no refund is due.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund handling is set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Selling and delivering on the platform
Sellers and riders sign a separate agreement covering commission, payouts and conduct. Commission rates and any deductions are shown before an order is accepted and itemised on every earnings statement.
We may suspend a seller or rider account for repeated cancellations, safety issues, or misrepresenting goods.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to order goods you are not legally allowed to receive.
- Abuse, threaten or harass sellers, riders or support staff.
- Create accounts to exploit promotions, referrals or wallet credit.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform or its security.
- Post reviews that are false, or that you were paid to write.
Promotions
Promo codes and campaigns carry their own conditions — minimum basket, eligible stores, expiry — shown when you claim them. We may withdraw a promotion, or reverse a discount, where it has been obtained through abuse.
Liability
We provide the platform with reasonable skill and care, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you place an order, and we will give notice of material changes before they take effect.
